Hidden in the central suburbs of Budapest this motocamp is ok if you are planning on seeing the city centre sights as it has good transport links to the city. The camping area is the rear garden of the Dutch owner’s house and is very small, there isn't a bar but a fridge with a small selection of drinks, you write down what you have and pay when you leave, there’s the usual showers and toilets.
To be honest there isn't much to praise this motocamp maybe it is was us, maybe the owner but on the day we turned up, there was not the usual friendly biker welcome, we got the feeling that we had put them out. We couldn't’t have an evening meal as we hadn't booked it at breakfast, not that easy when we had breakfast at Camping Ondrjov 336 miles away in the Czech Republic. As we rode off the following morning we couldn't’t help but laugh when Michelle started singing ‘Hotel California’.

The combination of both campsite and pension work well at this busy Motocamp. The few days we stayed there, the main camping area which can hold about 20 tents was nearly full. There is more camping space but it is steep ground and is not ideal. There was a good collection of nationalities both camping and staying in the pension, which enhanced the friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The bar and pool are great to just chill out at after a days touring around the Szalajka Valley or into the Bukk Mountains. This is a good place to base Yourselves if you plan to tour the region. The owners Leen and Bea are very helpful and welcoming and will help you make the most of what the local area has to offer.
